Our Client is a boutique Financial and Quantitative Modelling consultancy specializing in Banking and Capital Markets. We're in search of an Intermediate Java Developer who is enthusiastic about the banking environment, specifically regulatory reporting, and is passionate about technology and problem-solving. Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support the existing codebase primarily written in Java, ensuring the integrity, robustness, and efficiency of the system.
• Understand and adhere to the bank's regulatory requirements, implementing the same in the software solutions developed.
• Work with upstream trading platforms, utilizing the integration layer to effectively link these platforms with the regulatory reporting systems.
• Collaborate with the development team and other stakeholders to understand the requirements, design solutions, and implement them.
• Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation to ensure high-quality software development.
• Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports, actively participating in problem-solving.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes within the team.
• Stay informed about Java and banking industry trends and developments to ensure our solutions are updated and effective.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Java development.
• Strong experience in working with relational databases (SQL, Oracle).
• Proficient in using Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, etc.
• Experience with integration technologies, RESTful APIs, JSON, SOAP, and XML.
• Familiarity with the banking industry and regulatory reporting would be an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
