About the role

You will form part of the team that develops the Stock Visibility Solution (SVS) product. You'll be part of an exciting journey that spans planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. You will be involved in maintaining existing LLM AI use cases as well as finding new and innovative ways to include AI into our products.


As a full stack developer, you'll participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Our products are hosted on our Helium Platform and include 3rd party APIs integrations, web applications, and cross-platform mobile apps written in JavaScript. The desktop and browser experiences are created using Helium's user-friendly language. The team works with a tech stack that includes Java, PostgreSQL, JavaScript and Git

Requirements


8+ years' of development experience (Any programming language)

8+ years' experience working with SQL databases Experience with AI/ML technologies and implementation

Experience in Java, PostgreSQL, JavaScript (basic knowledge, no frameworks)

Proficiency in Linux operating systems

Proficiency in writing and debugging software code

Proficiency with relational databases, including database design, writing complex aggregation queries, writing SQL functions, procedures, triggers etc.

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and API tools (e.g. curl, Postman)

Location: Stellenbosch, South Africa (if not residing in the WC, the candidate must be able to relocate at his/her own cost)
