Interim Finance Manager

Job Description
Seeking an experienced and hands-on finance professional to assist our client in streamlining their accounting and finance function across the group. The focus of this project-based role will be on coordinating and implementing daily finance functions, financial processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the CFO to implement daily finance functions, financial processes and systems.
- Establish a compliant asset register.
- Set up reporting system for monthly, capture budget after being part of coordinating budget process etc.
- Samples of management accounts & implementation.
- Compile Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
- Implement a well-functioning Cash flow management system within the group.
- Streamline Tax compliance (VAT included), Group consolidations etc.
- Simplify Standard Operating Procedures for internal control purposes.
- Catch up on backlog of management accounts.
- Business case on standard systems to be used across the group.
- Evaluation of Finance HR structure needs, payroll processing and related.
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, policies and procedures.
- Post graduate or professional qualification advantageous - MBA, CA(SA), CIMA etc.
- Experience with accounting & projects packages - Proman + Sage + Pastel.
- 8+ years relevant experience within a similar capacity.
- Experience within the engineering sector will be advantageous.
