Working Foreman | Commercial Diesel Technician / Mechanic – Polokwane
Job Description
A busy and well-established Truck Service & Repair Centre in Polokwane is looking for a strong Working Foreman to join their team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who will be actively working on trucks while also supporting the Workshop Manager with daily operational and team management duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial vehicles
Oversee workshop activities and assist with staff supervision
Support the Workshop Manager with planning and workflow control
Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Working Foreman and Diesel Technician/Mechanic
Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic
Proven commercial vehicle experience
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Solid leadership and decision-making ability
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Sober habits
Salary & Benefits:
Market-related salary (negotiable depending on experience)
Overtime paid
Standby duty every second weekend (paid accordingly)
