Integration Analyst Programmer (Permanent), Mostly Remote/South Africa
An opportunity exists for an experienced Integration Programmer to join a technology-focused team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise system integrations. The successful candidate will work across various systems to ensure seamless data flow, process automation, and system interoperability using modern integration frameworks and protocols.
Location: Open to candidates nationally, client based in Western Cape, South Africa (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end integration solutions.
• Develop and test APIs and integration workflows using industry standards.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on integration issues.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize integration solutions in production environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to define integration requirements and process flows.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all integration solutions.

Minimum Requirements
Education:

• Degree or formal certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Required).

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in:

• Systems integration within complex environments.
• Messaging communication, analysis, and design.
• Software development (any language - integration experience is the priority).

Technical Skills

• Integration Architecture:

• Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
• Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Integration design and specification
• Data mapping and transformation
• API Development:

• RESTful APIs
• SOAP-based web services
• Data Formats and Protocols:

• XML, JSON
• HTTP/S, FTP, SFTP
• Messaging Standards:

• HL7, FHIR (advantageous)
• Development Tools:

• Proficiency with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
• Debugging and maintaining program code

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to healthcare information systems.
• Experience working with legacy systems, CRM platforms, or ERP systems such as SAP.
• Familiarity with integration platforms such as InterSystems IRIS for Health (advantageous but not required).
