Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Integration Architect to support an Enterprise Architecture Managed Services programme for a large telecommunications organisation.

This role is responsible for providing ongoing integration architecture leadership, governance, and delivery assurance across complex BSS and OSS landscapes, ensuring that architecture standards, patterns, and roadmaps are consistently applied across multiple initiatives and delivery teams.

The successful candidate will operate as part of a managed EA capability, balancing strategic architectural direction with hands-on design oversight in an Agile, multi-vendor environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise & Integration Architecture (Managed Service Context)

Provide end-to-end integration architecture services as part of an Enterprise Architecture Managed Services model Define, maintain, and govern integration architecture standards, patterns, and reference architectures Ensure alignment between business strategy, enterprise architecture, and delivery execution Support continuous architecture improvement across the Telco ecosystem

BSS / OSS Integration Architecture

Lead and govern integration designs acrosss core Telco domain, including: Customer & CRM platforms Product and service catalogues Order management & orchestration Billing, charging, and revenue management Service fulfilment, assurance, and network systems Ensure consistent and scalable integration across customer, service, and network layers Align architecture with TM Forum standards and Open APIs (where applicable)

Architecture Governance & Design Authority

Actively participate in and support: Architecture Design Authority Solution Design Authority EA governance forums Review and approve solution designs to ensure compliance with: Enterprise standards TOGAF-aligned architecture principles Integration best practices Provide clear architectural guidance, decisions, and risk mitigation strategies

Agile & Delivery Enablement

Embed architecture into Agile / SAFe delivery models Support delivery teams through: Backlog refinement Sprint planning Architectural decision support Translate EA strategy into practical, consumable delivery artefacts Balance governance rigor with delivery speed within a managed services environment

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Serve as a trusted architectural advisor to client stakeholders Work closely with: Product owners Delivery leads Vendors and system integrators Ensure architectural consistency across multiple vendors and parallel initiatives Support escalation management and architecture risk resolution

Required Experience & QualificationsExperience

10+ years

experience in Enterprise Architecture / Integration Architecture Strong experience delivering architecture within Telecommunications environments Proven track record within Enterprise Architecture Managed Services or long-term client engagements Deep experience across BSS and OSS domains Experience working in large, complex, multi-vendor ecosystems

Technical & Architecture Expertise

Strong integration architecture experience, including: API-led integration ESB / iPaaS platforms Event-driven and microservices architectures Solid understanding of: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Security, resilience, and data governance patterns Ability to produce and govern EA artefacts (HLDs, LLDs, standards, roadmaps)

Frameworks & Methodologies

TOGAF certified

(mandatory) Strong Enterprise Architecture foundation Proven experience in Agile / SAFe environments TM Forum frameworks and Open APIs (advantageous)
