Job Description

What Youll Do

  • Manage and grow portfolios with key insurers
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with insurer partners and stakeholders
  • Monitor portfolio performance, analyse trends, and implement targeted action plans to drive profitability
  • Prepare and manage financial and management reports, ensuring accurate data for decision-making
  • Oversee underwriting policies and claims processes in collaboration with insurer partners
  • Ensure smooth monthly operations including reconciliations, payments, and reporting cycles
  • Support and develop the service advisor team, fostering a culture of motivation, accountability, and service excellence
  • Participate in planning meetings, strategic meetings, and product improvement initiatives
  • Identify operational gaps and work with internal systems to improve efficiency
  • Train and mentor claims and underwriting consultants
What You Bring
  • 5+ years experience in short-term insurance portfolio or account management
  • Higher Certificate in Short-term Insurance (NQF 5)
  • Strong analytical, financial, and reporting skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation ability
  • Proven communication skills in Afrikaans and English
  • Knowledge in insurance systems
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or Insurance (advantageous)
  • FAIS-compliant and RE5 certified preferred
