Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Site Engineering Department, at Adam Tas in Stellenbosch. The successful applicant will report to the Utilities Specialist.
Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):
xc2xb7 Maintaining electronic systems on existing machinery and equipment.
xc2xb7 Attending to electronic related equipment breakdowns.
xc2xb7 Fault finding in electronic equipment.
xc2xb7 Attending to electrical related equipment breakdowns, if required.
xc2xb7 Maintenance of Laboratory equipment.
xc2xb7 Ensuring all laboratory equipment's calibrations remain up to date.
xc2xb7 Installation of electronic systems on new machinery and equipment.
xc2xb7 Upgrading, optimizing and modifying electronic control systems.
xc2xb7 Adhering to all relevant quality, health & safety policies and procedures.
xc2xb7 Completing all relevant administration.
xc2xb7 Providing inputs for budgets (OPEX and CAPEX).
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
xc2xb7 Qualified Electronic/Electrical Artisan (T3/S3/N6).
xc2xb7 Trade Tested
xc2xb7 At least 3 years relevant experience in the Electronics environment.
xc2xb7 Working knowledge of:
xc2xa7 PLC/HMI programming (Siemens S7, Win CC, Simotion Scout, TIA Portal, etc.).
xc2xa7 Industrial networks (Profibus, Ethernet, ASI, etc.).
xc2xa7 Scada Systems / Plant Information Systems.
xc2xa7 Electrical components (contactors, overloads, starters, sensors, PT100, etc.).
xc2xa7 Variable speed drives (Danfoss, Telemechanique, Lenze, etc.).
xc2xb7 Experience with utilities type equipment for e.g. Refrigeration plants, wastewater plants etc. would be advantageous.
xc2xb7 Computer literate in MS Office package (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.).
xc2xb7 Ability to work independently and under pressure.
xc2xb7 Willing and able to be on standby and respond to callouts after hours and on weekends (standby is rotated on a weekly basis).
xc2xb7 Willing and able to work extended hours (overtime) as and/or when required.
xc2xb7 Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position.
xc2xb7 Would be willing to manage a team.
