Primary purpose of the job

Perform general electrical maintenance, preventative maintenance as well as fault finding maintenance on hydraulic presses, industrial robots, CNC-milling machines and spot-welding stations

Key Performance Areas

Repair and maintain press machinery to ensure customer and company quality standards are met


Do fault finding and preventative maintenance as per maintenance schedule and according to job cards and relevant work instruction.


Compile feedback on time sheets to ensure accurate repair data and forward to the Senior Instrumentation Technician


Ensure that company procedures, works instructions and quality systems are adhered to at all times


Participate actively in the departmental M2S as per company requirement


Ensure that work practises comply with the company SHEQ procedures and works instructions.

Minimum Requirements

NQF Educational level N6/ Diploma/Degree


Educational qualification: Qualified Electrician/ Millwright/ Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering


Minimum 5 years' experience as a Technician/Millwright in the Electrical field within an Automotive environment


Extensive working knowledge of PLC programming, Siemens S7, TIA Portal, ABB/ KUKA KRC4 Robot, Festo and Fidia, Sick scanners


Process experience (Spot welding, INTEC Sealer, Laser welding, Projection welding)


Inline measuring system i.e. Perceptron etc
