Job Description
A dynamic organization based in the East Rand is looking to employ an Instrumentation Mechanician with 3- 5 years' experience in a similar role
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Certificate in Mechanical assembly skills (National Diploma in Mechatronics or similar will be an advantage)
- 3 - 5 years of experience working as an Assembly and Testing Technician in a similar industry
- Experience in valve and automation industry, with direct experience working with pneumatic, hydraulic and electric automation and controls
- Valid Driver's License & Own Vehicle
- MS Office (Advanced)
- Assembly and function testing of complex automated valve assemblies
- Strip and quote/ assessment of customer used valve assemblies including cost estimation for repair/ refurbishment
- Assisting on customer sites with valve installations, valve repair and fault finding
- Equipment maintenance and care
- General knowledge of standards and regulations
- Proficiency in valve automation, assembly and testing procedures
- Valve automation trouble shooting and corrective actions
- Quality control
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Excellent mechanical, electrical and general technical aptitude
- Responsible to ensure quality of the work meet or exceeds all standards of the organization
- Maintains a general awareness amongst staff of the quality standards and promotes the importance of quality
- Management of consumable, tools and special tools (VAC Store)
- Management of measuring equipment and records
- Management of maintenance of special tools and VAC equipment
