Job Advert Summary
A Fixed Term Contract has become available at Safripol for an Instrument Technician to contribute to the effectiveness of the organization by maintaining E&I equipment in order to ensure maximum plant availability, as well as to maintain all equipment pertinent to the production plants to ensure a consistent level of product quality and to ensure plant reliability
Minimum Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) / N6 and Instrument Technician Trade Test
5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical operations will be an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
.Carry out all requirements planned preventative maintenance program Calibrate pressure, temperature, conductivity, TDS, level, speed, etc. transducers, recorders and transmitters as well as all related equipment in the loops Fault-find and rectify faults in above loops Fault-find and rectify faults on electric motors, heaters, starters, drives, controllers and switchgear up to 380V AC Work within standards of OHSACT as well as to all Safripol quality, safety and general work procedures Be fully computer literate and maintain DCS system. * Supervise contractors when necessary and Assist with training of new incumbents
