To ensure that allocated plant is kept in a safe and reliable standard as required by Rand water.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12/N3/NQF 4in instrumentation Desired trade: Instrument trade test 2 years of Instrumentation experience post Apprenticeship PLC and Profibus network communication desirable A valid drivers' license with the ability to pass Rand Water K53 driver test
Primary Duties
To perform all maintenance tasks as per schedule (daily, monthly and annually) Investigate and repair all breakdowns work overtime if required Manage allocated section of the plant Maintaining of work standards and ensuring legal and safety compliance Give inputs and execute plant improvements and modifications Perform standby duties when required , take full responsibility in ensuring plant availability after hours Plan tasks accordingly, ensure that all resources needed to perform tasks are available Assist in coordinating work carried out by head office and contractor (i.e. isolate, test etc) Coaching of apprentices and new personnel and also perform on the job training Commission all equipment after overhauls and major maintenance Complete all schedules, work instructions, timesheet and defects
