Job SummaryOur client is looking for an Installation Electrician to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in solar PV system installations and electrical work, along with proven team management experience. A valid 3-phase Wireman's License held for five years or longer is essential, as is a valid driver's license.Responsibilities:Perform solar PV electrical installations, including grid-tied inverter systems and battery backup systemsCommission systems and set up internet-based monitoringConduct pre-emptive maintenance inspections and attend client calloutsSeparate essential and non-essential loads and implement energy efficiency measuresConduct site visits and prepare material listsManage installation teams and subcontractorsMaintain safety files and deliver toolbox talksTrain and guide staff, perform tool inspections, and ensure accurate job card completionCoordinate installation schedules with the project managerConduct pre-installation site visits and verify material readinessEnsure all work complies with electrical and OHS standards, including issuing of COCsRun daily team briefings and provide feedback to improve processesUpdate material and project progress lists, and communicate with teams via relevant platformsRequirements:Valid 3-phase Installation Electrician Wireman's License (held for at least 5 years)Applicable NQF level qualification for electriciansCertified Installation Electrician with ability to test and sign off single and 3-phase COCsMinimum 5 years' experience in the electrical industryKnowledge of single and 3-phase systems, electrical testing, solar PV systems, inverters, and fault findingFamiliarity with SANS 10142-1 (Edition 2) and NRS 097 Part 2Computer literateValid South African driver's licensePolice clearanceWorking at heights certificate (can be obtained post-appointment)Electrical license must be up to dateForklift endorsement is beneficial Benefits:
