Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • A technical qualification in either mechanical or electrical or related is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience having worked in an extrusion blow moulding plant, having worked with parison extrusion blow moulding technology on large components.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is essential for the role.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards and audit processes.
  • Must be familiar with handling and processing materials like HDPE, PP, and other industrial thermoplastics.
  • Technical proficiency in parison control and large-part moulding parameters is essential.
  • Must have a solid understanding of quality systems, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Must have strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Managing and team and overseeing the efficient and compliant production of large plastic components using parison extrusion blow moulding technology.
  • Managing production operations, ensuring compliance with iso standards, maintaining product quality, and leading a team in a safety-conscious and process-driven environment.
  • Leading and coordinating the day-to-day operation of large-part parison blow moulding lines.
  • Setting and monitoring production targets for volume, quality, and efficiency.
  • Overseeing mould changeovers and process validation for new or modified products.
  • Ensuring full adherence to ISO 9001 (quality management) by maintaining documented procedures, control plans, and quality records.
  • Supporting compliance with ISO 14001 (environmental management) by monitoring waste reduction, energy use, and environmental impact.
  • Enforcing ISO 45001 (occupational health & safety) standards through safe work practices, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
  • Participating in iso audits, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Driving lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction.
  • Monitoring OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and take corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Suggesting tooling improvements and process upgrades to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Overseeing in-process inspections and quality checks to ensure consistent wall thickness, structural integrity, and appearance.
  • Investigating and addressing internal non-conformances and customer complaints.
