IT Technician
to join our team and play a key role in supporting and maintaining our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
User Support & Help Desk Operations
Be the first line of IT support for hardware, software, and network issues (on-site & remote).
Manage and prioritize support tickets to ensure efficient resolution.
Administer user accounts, passwords, and access rights.
Support onboarding processes by setting up workstations and accounts.
Provide Microsoft Office application support.
Systems & Network Administration
Perform routine checks and maintenance of servers and critical infrastructure.
Conduct server room inspections and manage server health.
Monitor switches, routers, and Wi-Fi systems.
Ensure antivirus and anti-malware software are always up-to-date.
Security & Data Protection
Monitor for potential security threats and assist in implementing security best practices.
Perform regular updates, backups, patching, and backup recovery tests.
Asset & License Management
Maintain and audit inventory of IT equipment and software.
Track asset movements via the ticketing system.
Software & Hardware Implementation
Assist in testing and rolling out new IT systems.
Install and maintain computers, laptops, servers, mobile devices, and boardroom AV equipment.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Handle IT procurement across departments.
Coordinate with vendors for support, warranty claims, and license renewals.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Develop and maintain internal IT documentation and user guides.
Log and analyse IT issues to identify trends and drive improvements.
What We're Looking For:
Matric / Grade 12.
CompTIA A+ and N+ certifications.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT.
3-5 years of experience in IT support and systems administration (manufacturing/industrial experience is a plus).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of Windows OS (10/7/XP), Server OS a plus.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Willingness to work extended hours and provide after-hours support when needed.
Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
