Job Description

The Software Product Owner will elicit, facilitate, synthesise, and present technical solutions.



The candidate will use business requirements to drive the design or review of products define a product vision, scope, acceptance, and implementation.



Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales) to deliver product features.



Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure clear communication of requirements.



The successful candidate will form part of the IT team and report to the Software Product Manager.



Our ideal candidate can work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into usable information, which will help to improve systems and processes.



Continuously analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to improve the product.



Consult various customers (internal and external) to understand their value chain, structure, functions, and products and/or services.



Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.



Challenge the business in their thinking, especially to understand the intent of the business requirement.



With little supervision, elicit, gather, analyse, document, validate and communicate business requirements (Agile and Waterfall Formats)



Guide a business analyst on the requirements of the product.



Guide a UX/UI designer on the requirements of the product feature.



Determine the feasibility of a proposed project.



Understand the commercial importance of changes or new features.



Estimate total project duration based on experience.



Facilitate Design Thinking Workshops.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Matric/Grade 12 or A-Levels



Relevant tertiary qualification/Informatics degree.



Minimum of 5 years' previous ex perience as a Product Owner in software development projects. Minimum of



2 years' experience in Agile Software develo pment Projects .

Desirable:

Post Graduate degree / Honours degree / Business Analyst diploma, BABOK Certification, Agi le Certification, Certified Scrum Produc t Owner



Business Analyst/Product Owner experience in the Retail Industry (Advantageous).



Between 5 - 7 Years
