POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a skilled technical Information Security Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to analyse and document business processes, use and test cases, business requirements and other required business and project related documents within the Group Fintech Information Security Division. You will be involved in multiple projects, with an immediate focus on a key Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) project. In this role, you will assess the integration of technology with the Fintech business model and provide guidance to improve processes, products, services, and software through process and data analysis, ensuring the implementation of enhanced security measures and delivering good customer experience.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct business and system analysis Activities for CIAM Project
  • Evaluate the new CIAM system and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyse user requirements, define use and test cases and design customer interfaces for the CIAM solution implementation.
  • Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for system enhancements.
  • Determine operational objectives of business functions by gathering information and evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities and writing specifications.
  • Improve systems by analysing current practices and designing enhancements or modifications.
  • Identify business process shortcomings and recommend controls, writing improved procedures to enhance security measures.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements, forming project teams.
  • Monitor and report project progress by tracking activities, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending necessary actions.
  • Maintain user confidence and protect operations by ensuring the confidentiality of customer data and company information.
  • Draft management reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
  • Contribute to the team's effort by accomplishing project goals and objectives.
  • Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models.
  • Conduct and coordinate comprehensive research in financial, product, market, operational, and related areas to support strategic and business planning within various departments and projects.
  • Analyse, assess, and scrutinize data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Plan and coordinate the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives.
  • Perform regular reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Understand and effectively communicate the financial and operational impact of proposed changes.
  • Suggest changes to senior management, utilising analytics to support your recommendations, and actively participate in the implementation of the approved changes.
  • Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reports that highlight relevant business trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct insightful ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ MINIMUM & PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Education / Business Degree:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong preference for experience with Microsoft Access and/or SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to impact operations and effect change with good interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a keen attention to detail, analytical thinking, and an enquiring mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
Work Experience:
  • 5 - 6 years of relevant work experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Experience within a non-traditional FinTech, Banking or Financial Services Sector advantageous
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Understanding emerging markets advantageous
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies; Pan Africa multi-cultural experience is advantageous
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
Training:
  • A bachelors degree in business or related field or an MBA.
Any other specifications:
  • Experience working across geographical areas and with multiple vendors preferable.
