Job Description


Job Summary Coordinate, plan, and report on labor capacity for new projects Establish standard procedures for launching new projects Manage the industrialization of new programs throughout their entire production lifecycle, from development and growth to stable operation and completion Implement industrialization processes for changes in programs already transitioned to operations Collaborate on facility layout, operational tool design, resource allocation, and material handling enhancements through Continuous Improvement Work (CIW) for both current and future operations Evaluate the capacity of plant resources for current and future capabilities Investigate methods to enhance the current facility layout, procedures, and resource allocation Participate in project development meetings to assess risks and identify opportunities for improvement Engage in improvement workshops at the operational level and assist with the implementation of Lean Principles on the production floor Conduct process audits to ensure adherence to standard processes and implement corrective measures for areas that deviate from targets Provide Industrial Engineering (IE) support to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions across the facility and production processes Collaborate with the Development Department to define quality criteria and key characteristics, offering design feedback Offer engineering support for the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, including process analysis, process mapping, data analysis, and time studies Apply techniques such as SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die), standard work, brainstorming, and man-machine analysis to optimize processes Conduct operational studies, including Time & Motion studies, to maximize workflow efficiency and achieve optimal work balancing among line operators, assembly methods, and equipment layout Manage the allocated budget at the departmental level, analyzing efficiency by assessing equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization Skills & Experience: Profound understanding of Industrial Engineering principles Fundamental grasp of composites manufacturing processes Strong technical skills with a systematic and analytical problem-solving approach Proficiency in using SAP Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency Qualification: Relevant Tertiary qualification Minimum 3+ years experience Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
