Industrial Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing) Durban
Job Purpose:
Lead and support continuous improvement of plant processes, equipment, and resource utilization.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Industrial Engineering
- Advanced CAD qualification
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Plan and optimize production schedules and processes
- Maximize manufacturing efficiency and resource use
- Analyse production data and drive improvements
- Lead lean initiatives (5S, Standard Work, Kanban, etc.)
- Implement actions to improve OEE and operational metrics
- Manage projects and monitor material levels
- Maintain and update CAD drawings and documentation
- Facilitate continuous improvement and innovation (Kaizen, Six Sigma, MES, etc.)
- Support best business practices and quality management
- Train and mentor staff in Lean and continuous improvement
