Job Description

Reporting to the Group Leader in the Moulding Shop, you will fulfil the necessary requirements within the Department to meet the Company's objectives by providing effective leadership to ensure a motivated team and a workstation that enables the manufacturing of high-quality components.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

oMaintain quality and always adhere to quality standards.

oMaintain stable production-delivery.

oManage timekeeping and attendance.

oTask assignment to team members.

oIssuing and controlling of company tools.

oAchievement of health and safety standards.

oImplement appropriate corrective action where necessary.

oUpdate activity boards on required build schedule.

oReduce defects per unit at hand over of parts.

oEnsure build cycle requirements and hand over dates are met.

oManage and control issuing and receiving of parts and consumables.

oCapturing and tracking of reworks.

oMonitoring of Health and Safety in the department.

oTracking and communicating of waste and creating opportunities for waste reduction.

oMaintaining & Controlling of Gel-coat Spray Machines

oMaintenance of power tools

oHouse Keeping & 5S

oRegular Stock Takes

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

oMinimum: Matric (Grade 12) / NQF Level 4 qualification (full qualification not certificate).

oIdeal: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Production Management/Engineering or related field.

oExperience: At least 2-3 years production related experience.

oThorough knowledge and experience of all aspects of Moulding Shop.

oStores experience would be an advantage.

oKnowledge of infusion would be an advantage.

oGood communication skills both verbal and written.

oAble to work weekends and overtime.

oAble to work under pressure.

oDisplay initiative and lead by example.

oHave a thorough understanding of the quality condition within the company.

oWork to a fixed Production Schedule.

oAble to understand Drawings and Lay up schedules.

COMPETENCIES:

oGood leadership, planning, organising, communication and control skills.

oAble to motivate staff to meet desired outcomes.

oBasic Computer Literacy skills (MS Excel,Outlook,Word)

oDecision Making.
