DC Inbound Planner
to join our Distribution Centre in East London. This key role ensures the timely, efficient, and accurate receipt of stock from suppliers and supports business continuity through proactive stock scheduling and delivery coordination.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
A 3-year Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
+ 3-5 years of relevant inbound planning or receiving coordination experience
+ Strong knowledge of warehouse receiving procedures and supplier engagement
+ High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
+ Familiarity with BOMM, Relex, or similar ERP/planning systems
+ Strong problem-solving, numerical reasoning, and analytical capabilities
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines in a high-pressure environment

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and Maintain Inbound Booking Schedules:
Update daily schedules by meticulously comparing data from the Bomm System to the existing schedule.
Monitor orders placed on the Bomm System to track deliveries and identify any gaps (NO GRV).
Analyze receiving invoices and promptly detect instances where no invoice exists, indicating undelivered stock.
Collaborate with the Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager to escalate issues and, if necessary, involve the Buyer.
Initiate follow-ups with suppliers, ensuring accurate stock deliveries.
If needed, rebook stock deliveries to ensure seamless supply.
Coordinate Supplier Deliveries for Operational Efficiency:
Monitor emails containing orders from demand planners, providing valuable insight into supply requirements.
Strategically plan deliveries considering promotional demands, store and RDC stock levels.
Collaborate with the Demand Planning team for scheduling discussions and alignment.
Validate product details such as quantity, size, packaging, and palletisation.
Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and share precise delivery times.
Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding delivery schedule changes.
When required, reschedule deliveries to accommodate evolving needs.
Manage Returns and Communication:
Receive information from the Outbound Manager about supplier returns.
Ensure clear communication with the supplier or third-party Transport Company about returns.
Effectively coordinate returns, especially when suppliers deliver additional orders to the DC.
Inform Suppliers of DC Rules and Regulations:
Effectively communicate DC Rules & Regulations to suppliers.
Provide guidance on driver and crew attire.
Specify the type and size of palettes required at the DC.
