Vacancy: Intermediate Life Support Paramedic / Ambulance Emergency Assistant

Number of positions: 1
The successful candidate will be subject to a three-month probation period.

Key Performance Areas

Ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.
Administer patient care in line with scope of practice.
Assist where necessary in our Primary Health Care Clinic
Assist with First Aid Training if required.
Assist with special events in the area as required
Market and maintain a positive public image for Underberg EMS.

Requirements:

- Current registration with the HPCSA as an ILS
- Willingness to work shifts.
- Valid driver's license with Professional Driving Permit
- Sound knowledge of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
- Minimum 1-year operational experience in an EMS environment.
- Minimum Level of Education

:

Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher certificate in

Emergency Medical Care. Preference will be given to those candidates who have completed their CPG guidelines update.

Personal Attributes

Professionalism and ability to remain calm and professional in an EMS environment. Willingness to learn about the community, local facilities, travel routes and demographical area. Ability to accurately complete Patient Report Forms Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
