Minimum Requirements
:
Degree in Public administration, Research, Strategic Management, Business Administration, Development Studies or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
3 - 5 years' work experience with at least 1 - 2 years in local government environment
Logistics and content management experience
Core Responsibilities
:
Coordinate the IDP process in compliance with the statutory timeframes and Municipal Planning requirements
Provide strategic capability and leadership and manage conduct within the division in a manner that is accountable for the delivery of set objectives within specified timeframes and costs
Conduct operational processes thereby utilising understanding of policy, laws, regulations, initiatives and relevant industry practices to plan, make recommendations and apply changes
Contribute toward the development of the 5-year IDP and its annual revision by ensuring adequate participation by relevant stakeholders
Assist in monitoring the implementation of IDP ward priorities by city's departments
Assist in the analysis and review of Departmental/entities business plans inline with applicable framework and guidelines
Follow financial processes to ensure that financial administration delivery processes comply with internal control and governance standards and report on any deviations
Provide customer service orientation to contribute to a culture, which builds rewarding relationships and enables exceptional customer service and ethical conduct by being a good example, ensuring compliance with the Batho Pele principles
