An ICT Technician provides first-line technical support, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware (computers, printers, networks) and software for users, ensuring systems run smoothly, documenting issues, and keeping IT infrastructure secure and up to date. Key duties include diagnosing problems, setting up user accounts, managing network printers, training staff, and keeping detailed records of support requests and maintenance. As the successful candidate, you will also be responsible for ensuring that all cable connections are intact, ensuring a continuous flow of data, and proactively managing all ICT and Network issues in the company.
Duties:
Act as the first point of contact for all IT issues, resolving problems via phone, email, or in person.
Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, antivirus, and firewalls.
Install Wi-Fi network for customers.
Troubleshoot our 5Ghz Microwave PtP links in Estcourt.
Attend to network issues at our remote sites and customer sites.
Must possess a basic understanding of computer network cabling and IT Performing troubleshooting to system failures and identifying bottlenecks to ensure long-term efficiency of the network.
Testing and configuring hardware.
An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting and improving the network's functions.
Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor problems.
Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement.
Good communication skills Exceptional customer service skills.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), networking, and hardware. A+ and N+ Certification or equivalant
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and logical thinking skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage multiple tasks.
