Job Description

Purpose:

To actively protect the organization's information technology assets and infrastructure from external or internal threats.

KPA/ Key outputs:

Identification of risks and detection of threads, security threads and vulnerabilities. Protection of information systems (Application, network and infrastructure). Performing both internal and external security audits and conduct organizational awareness. ICT Infrastructure Maintenance. Security Incidents management. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.

Requirements/ Experience:

National Diploma in (NQF 6) Computer Science / Information Technology or NQF 6 IT related qualification. A relevant industry certification, such as International Security Certificate, ethical hacking, CompTIA Security+, CISSP. 5 years' experience in the IT Security environment coupled with in-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management.

Knowledge & Skills:

Troubleshooting Networks Cyber Security Business applications Software installations Management and drafting ICT policies and standard ISO27001 NIST framework COBIT, MISS, and Project Management Skills Management skills
