Hydraulic Technician - KurumanFull job descriptionADVERTSMENT REFERENCE: UM-SYS-ADV-UM0001-0001POSITION: TechnicianLOCATION: Northern Cape-Mining SectorREPORTING STRUCTURE: Section Manager (2.7.4)BU: Hydraulic hoses management and Maintenance services (Fitment, inspections, testing and reporting)JOB SUMMARY OVERVIEW (KPIxe2x80x99s) The job consists of:-Preparation of JRA, DSTIxe2x80x99s and risk assessments etc.Planning and schedulingInspection and assessment of hosesTestingFitments and reporting etc.Suitable candidates who are qualified, competent are hereby invited to submit their resumes for the following positions available within our organization.Requirements and assessment criteria (Minimum)Grade 12 CertificateDiploma or Certificates in engineering/ hydraulics3-years post qualification-Maintenance and repairs on hydraulicsHydraulic experience (Modelling, pumps and system)Valid Driverxe2x80x99s licenseExperience, knowledge and skills.Hydraulic Clamper/ Cutters/ latheFault finding on hydraulic systems and cylinders.Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and componentsDiagnose problems, prepare estimates for repairsRepair and install new systems in the fieldTesting of systems,Fit hydraulic system on mining HMExe2x80x99s, Trucks and mining equipment'sBuidling new jigsMilling machinesMust be able to develop and build diesel & electrical Power packKnowledge and experience of solenoid valvesIdentify threads, fittings and valves.Ordering of Components and pipingInstallation of PTO Pumps and Hydraulic controls.Communicate daily schedule to team and co-ordinate parts/material for daily working schedule.Knowledge of cylinder sealsBehaviorsMust be able to take initiative and responsibilityResponsible for in-house training of employees.Ability to work efficiently, accurately and in an organized manner.Ability to manage breakdowns on his ownMust be able to work in noisy environmentMust be able to work overtime and different shifts on short noticeResponsibility summary overview:Disassemble and inspect hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves for all mining equipment.Repair pumps, valves, motors, and cylinders as related to our business, per customer requestTest and inspect hydraulic pumps, valves cylinders, etc.Troubleshoot mobile and industrial equipment and systemsConducts field service calls for various hydraulically powered systems and machines for troubleshooting and repairInstall hydraulic components onto in-house or onsite customer equipmentUse measuring devices, calculators, and myriad hand tools, torque tools, and various other tools to service equipmentPerform onsite maintenance and repair to customersxe2x80x99 equipmentProfessionally interact with customers to determine service issuesProvide technical support, as necessary, to all departments and customersWork dutifully with Service Writer and Shop Foreman to support the efficient and accurate quoting and billing of repair and service workKeep chronological records of service activity, both in computer and on hard-copy forms; to include each service step, evaluation of system or component, parts request and installation, repairs, completions, and tests/certificationsAttends various training and safety certification classes and seminars as requiredShop maintenance including cleaning, organizing, trash removal, and securing valuables during non-working hours.RESUME TO BE SUBMITTED TO: admin@umalusimining.co.zaCLOSING DATE: 18 April 2024In line with the client requirement and our commitment, local canditates from the following districts Gamagara, John taolo, Ga-segonyane and local canditates within northern cape will be given first preference.Job Type: Part-timeExpected hours: 9 per week
