Job Description

Job Purpose
The Hybrid Sales & Service Consultant is responsible for driving sales growth, acquiring and onboarding merchants, and providing after-sales servicing. The role includes selling Kazang POS devices, Easypay Everywhere (EPE) bank accounts. lending products, and insurance solutions, while ensuring compliance and delivering exceptional customer service to strengthen relationships and support business expansion. Candidate must reside in the Hluvukani area.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development

  • Achieve sales targets across Kazang POS devices, EPE bank accounts, lending, and insurance products.
  • Acquire and onboard new merchants and informal vendors.
  • Install and activate POS devices and ensure operational readiness.
  • Expand into new business areas and develop merchant networks.
  • Drive digital channel migration and customer activation for EPE accounts.
  • Convert sales leads into revenue-generating opportunities.
Merchant Servicing
  • Provide ongoing support to merchants, including device training, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Conduct regular merchant visits to ensure satisfaction and resolve queries.
  • Strengthen merchant relationships to increase loyalty and transaction volumes.
  • Monitor merchant performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Customer Engagement and Financial Services
  • Educate customers and merchants on the benefits of EPE bank accounts, loans, and insurance products.
  • Assist with account origination, servicing, card issuance, and resolving customer queries.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell financial products based on customer needs.
Compliance, Risk, and Governance
  • Perform regulatory checks including FICA, POPI, F AIS. and NCR compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and ethical processing of customer and merchant infonnation.
  • Adhere to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and escalate risks to management.
  • Operate within the company's policies, guidelines, and risk management framework.
Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless merchant onboarding and support.
  • Share insights and feedback to enhance product offerings and customer experience.
  • Participate in training and development to remain infonned on product updates and compliance requirements.
Administration and Reporting
  • Record accurate data on sales, merchant activity, and customer engagements.
  • Collate feedback on systems, customers, and processes to aid continuous improvement.
  • Provide management with regular performance, compliance, and risk reports.
Key Performance Measures
  • Achievement of sales targets (POS devices, EPE bank accounts, lending, and insurance).
  • Merchant onboarding and retention.
  • Activation and digital migration success rate.
  • Customer and merchant satisfaction.
  • Compliance adherence (F AIS, FICA, POPI, NCR).
  • Reduction of operational losses and accurate reporting.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: NQF 4 qualification.
  • Preferred: NQF 5 qualification or business diploma (NQF 6).
  • FATS Regulatory Exam (advantageous).
  • Microsoft Office literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience
  • 1-2 years of sales experience in financial services or merchant acquisition.
  • Experience in selling POS devices or related fintech products is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of lending, banking, and insurance products preferred.
  • Driver's license and own reliable car essential.
Technical Competencies
  • Computer literate (Windows, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot POS devices.
  • Strong knowledge of financial product sales and compliance requirements.
