HVAC TECHNICIAN Red Seal Trade Tested Refrigeration - JHBThe HVAC Technician is primarily responsible for the service, maintain and repair of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. The HVAC Technician may also be responsible to oversee a small site or team on projects for a designated period in order to obtain relevant skills and experience as a subject matter expert as the job requirements.Minimum requirements :xe2x9dx91 Minimum 3 5 years industry / service experience in related fieldxe2x9dx91 Commercial refrigeration experiencexe2x9dx91 Experience and/or exposure to: Freezer rooms/cold rooms package units | Ice machines chilled water systems | Display chillers | Various spit unit installationsxe2x9dx91 Adherence to SLA and contractual terms of service.xe2x9dx91 3 5 years Supervising staff | xe2x9dx91 Ability to work independentlyxe2x9dx91 Experience working according to SLAs and contractual Terms of Service. items dependent on specific trade expertise.xe2x9dx91 Handle confidential and non-routine information;xe2x9dx91 Coordinates with process centre for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently;xe2x9dx91 Inspects facilities, systems and their components for the purpose of ensuring safety (e.g. OSHA) and cleanliness, and identifying necessary repairs;xe2x9dx91 Installs a variety of items and/or system components frequently or of a complex nature for the purpose of maintaining the client in a safe, comfortable and operating condition;xe2x9dx91 Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition;xe2x9dx91 Performs a variety of facility and equipment repair and maintenance activities within areas of trade expertisexe2x9dx91 Prepares and maintains a variety of documentation (e.g., work orders, repair records, purchase orders, requisitions) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying completion of work.o Complete technical service records for client signatureo Check with client regarding requirements, satisfaction and quality of work done.o Record client requests.o Submit requests to Administrative offices.xe2x9dx91 Complete and submit technical service records as per company standardso Ensure that all required technical documentation is available.o On or during completion, complete Log sheets.o Submit to manager on completionxe2x9dx91 Accurate administration of company documentation, e.g. time sheets, vehicle records, etc.xe2x9dx91 Communication with the Group helpdesk to provide accurate feedback.Adherence to health and safety standardsxe2x9dx91 Responsible for safe working practices, own safety and that of colleaguesxe2x9dx91 Use equipment in line with safety
