Job Description
Job Summary Minimum requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician.
- Technical diploma or certification in HVAC or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Familiarity with electrical and refrigeration principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning systems, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, checking electrical components, and lubricating moving parts.
Repair and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, including malfunctions in motors, thermostats, compressors, and other components.
Conduct thorough troubleshooting to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
System Testing:
Test HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess the efficiency and safety of systems.
Customer Service:
Communicate with clients to understand their heating and cooling needs.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing concerns, and explaining necessary repairs or maintenance.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of service and repair activities, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Upgrading and Retrofitting:
Recommend and implement system upgrades or retrofits to improve energy efficiency and performance.
Stay informed about new HVAC technologies and industry trends.
