Role Overview
We are reimagining the traditional HR role @ CSSi by creating the position of Team Manager. This is not just an HR post but a key leadership role focused on building a motivated, cohesive team that thrives in our fast paced tech environment. You will handle all core people functions while taking ownership of team motivation, company (both internal, external and customers events) and fun activities that foster collaboration and energy. Key Responsibilities

People Management & HR Core Functions

Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding to attract top talent in the IT and data solutions space. Manage performance reviews, development plans, and employee relations. Handle disciplinary processes, terminations, and exit interviews in compliance with South African labour laws (BCEA, LRA, etc.). Oversee all HR administration, including payroll liaison, benefits, leave management, and compliance reporting. Develop and enhance HR policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to our growing team.

Team Building & Motivation

Create and execute strategies to motivate and engage our team, including recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and performance incentives. Foster a positive company culture through regular team building activities, feedback sessions, and morale boosting efforts.

Events & Social Coordination

Plan, coordinate, and execute company events, social gatherings, team outings, and fun activities (e.g., quarterly team days, year-end functions, sports events, and creative workshops). Manage budgets, vendors, and logistics for all internal / customer events to ensure they are memorable and aligned with company values.

Additional Stretch Responsibilities

Support cross functional projects where your skills add value (where your aptitude and other skills / abilities could contribute to our company success) Contribute ideas for enhancing employee experience and overall organisational development. Adapt quickly to evolving needs in a dynamic tech company. No task is too small or out of scope for the right person!

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certification or prior experience). 5+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a fast-paced industry like IT/tech or services. Proven track record in recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. Experience in event planning, team building, or employee engagement initiatives is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail. Proactive, creative, and adaptable mindset, CSSi requires someone who thrives on variety and enjoys going the extra mile. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems (e.g., payroll software). Passion for people development and creating a fun, high-energy workplace. Valid South African driver's license
