Role Summary
Franschhoek Wine Tram is seeking an experienced and dynamic
HR Manager
to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of human resources management across the business. The HR Manager plays a key role in building a positive workplace culture, supporting operational leadership, and ensuring full compliance with South African labour legislation and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end HR operations
Recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction of employees
Performance management and employee development processes
Employee relations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution
Ensure compliance with South African labour law and statutory requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and systems
Workforce planning and organisational development support
Manage HR administration, benefits, and fund-related matters
Provide professional HR guidance and support to management and staff
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field
Proven experience in an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist role
Strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation
Demonstrated experience managing disciplinary and employee relations processes
Experience designing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Strong administrative, organisational, and reporting skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities
High level of emotional intelligence and a people-centred approach
Experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management
Proficiency in HR information systems and MS Office
Hospitality, tourism, or transport industry experience will be advantageous
Requirements
Willingness to relocate to or commute reliably to Franschhoek
Own reliable vehicle
Valid driver's licence
Code 10 driver's licence with PDP (required)
Ability to manage HR matters with urgency, discretion, and professionalism
Remuneration
Up to R60,000 per month
Salary negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
