Job Title: Human Resource AdministratorJob Summary
The Human Resource Administrator provides administrative support to the HR department and assists with the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems. The role ensures accurate employee records, supports recruitment and onboarding processes, and promotes compliance with labour legislation and organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update employee records, personnel files, and HR databases
Assist with recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, and preparing appointment letters
Coordinate employee onboarding and induction programmes
Administer leave, attendance, and timekeeping systems
Support payroll by providing accurate employee data and documentation
Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR procedures
Assist with performance management processes and documentation
Handle employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
Prepare HR reports, statistics, and correspondence
Support training and development initiatives, including training records and logistics
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Public Administration, or related field
1-3 years' experience in an HR administration role
Knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE Act, UIF, COIDA)
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR systems
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
