Job Description

Vacancy: Human Capital Business Partner
Location: Centurion, Pretoria
Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days office-based; additional office days as required by business needs)
Role Purpose
To partner with business leaders in implementing effective human capital strategies and practices that enable business objectives and enhance employee performance and engagement.
Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to understand business needs and deliver integrated human capital solutions.
  • Implement and embed human capital practices across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent management, performance management, succession planning, and employee relations.
  • Support organisational design, change management, and restructuring initiatives.
  • Advise and coach leaders on people management, leadership development, and change initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture improvement initiatives using people metrics and insights.
  • Collaborate with HC, OD, OE, and L&D teams to deliver value-added people solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and best practice.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and deliver high-quality client service.
  • Contribute to cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and responsible resource management.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, or related field (Essential)
  • Masters degree in Industrial Psychology (Essential)
Professional Registration (Advantageous)
  • HPCSA Registered Psychometrist (Independent Practice)
  • SABPP Registered Professional
Experience & Knowledge
  • 3-5 years experience in a Human Capital Business Partner or advisory role
  • End-to-end HR experience across the human capital value chain
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA)
  • Employee relations and organisational development experience
  • Insurance industry experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with drafting and submissions of Workplace Skills Plans (WSP's) and Annual Training Reports (ATR's).
