Job Description

The HR Operations Officerwill oversee all aspects of the human resources operations, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance with labour legislation, and consistency across African sites. Thisrole involves extensive travel across Africa and frequent site visits to support our remote operations and project teams directly on the ground. You will be instrumental in driving HR strategy, employee engagement, and operational excellence in both corporate and field environments.

Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Africa (up to 50-70% of the time).

Frequent site visits to drilling and mining operations, often in remote or challenging environments.

Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field (Postgraduate qualification advantageous).

Minimum 7-10 years' HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.

Previous experience supporting remote sites or international HR operations, ideally in mining, drilling, or industrial sectors.

In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation; exposure to African labour laws a strong advantage.

Demonstrated leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.

Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
