The HR Officer role is a hands-on, operational position focused on driving effective people practices on the ground. It ensures the consistent application of HR policies, processes, and workplace standards while fostering a positive and compliant employee experience that supports business performance.
Qualifications:
Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent NQF 4 Qualification
HR Degree/Diploma
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HR
Above average experience in IR activities and representation
Must have experience working with multiple unions in an organisation
Experience in Contract cleaning or mining environment will be an advantage
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the BCEA, LRA,
OHSA, and the Skills Development Act.
Understanding HR best practices and compliance frameworks
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Confident negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
Strong leadership capability with a focus on influence and collaboration.
Team-building and motivational skills inspire a positive workplace culture.
