Job Description
Job title: HR officer
Location: North-west
Vacancy type: Full-time
Salary: Market-related, depending on experience and qualifications.
Duties:
- Manage end-to-end HR processes: recruitment, onboarding, and terminations
- Administer payroll inputs, benefits, and employee records
- Draft and maintain employment contracts and HR documentation
- Manage employee files, leave, and attendance registers
- Support performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures
- Ensure compliance with South African labour laws (BCEA, LRA, EE)
- Handle HR administration, employee relations, and liaise with the community when required
- Assist with training coordination and skills development initiatives
- Oversee HR-related resource management within the mine
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations
- 2-5 years' HR generalist experience (mining or heavy industry preferred)
- Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EE, and Skills Development legislation
- Proficient in MS Office and Sage Pastel Payroll
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
