We are looking for a seasoned HR Manager who has strong generalist HR management experience in a manufacturing environment and proven ability to align people strategy with business objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Strategy & Management
Act as the in-house HR expert, providing practical and legally sound solutions.
Develop and implement HR strategies to support the company's objectives.
Maintain healthy working relationships across the organisation and promote a positive culture.
Employment Equity & Compliance
Manage the full Employment Equity process including reports, committee meetings and submissions.
File Employment Equity and Annual Return of Earnings reports with the Department of Labour and ensure annual Certificates of Compliance.
HR Administration
Maintain and update the company's organisational structure, organograms, and staff complement lists.
Manage job descriptions, contracts and policies.
Provide support to Managers and Supervisors on disciplinary matters, employee leave and HR queries.
Recruitment & Induction
Partner with management to identify recruitment needs.
Prepare job adverts, oversee competency-based interviews and conduct reference checks.
Administer offers of employment and contracts and carry out HR induction for new employees.
Training & Development
Assist in planning and implementing training and upskilling programmes.
Develop Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports.
Industrial and Labour Relations
Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on handling misconduct and poor performance.
Lead disciplinary processes by ensuring fair and legally compliant hearings.
Manage disciplinary hearings, CCMA cases and retrenchment processes in line with legislation.
Liaise with MEIBC, SEIFSA, unions and other external bodies.
Support employee relations and maintain Employee Assistance Programmes.
Health & Safety Support
Maintain H&S documentation and compliance notices.
Coordinate H&S and forklift training and liaise with service providers.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
In-depth understanding of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
Strong generalist HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Goal-driven with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
High attention to detail, with perseverance and a pragmatic problem-solving approach.
Proven ability to influence organisational culture and employee engagement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word essential).
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Relevant tertiary qualification in HR or related field (essential).
Thorough understanding of statutory HR requirements and industry agreements.
English and Afrikaans (required).
