About the Role
We're looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead the end-to-end people function across multiple operational sites. You'll partner with leadership and line managers to build a high-performance, compliant and people-centred culture.
This is both a
strategic and hands-on role
-- the HR Manager will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, manage the HR Administrator, and provide guidance to line managers across the organisation. The position requires a proactive leader who can balance compliance, operational excellence, and employee engagement in a multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, SOPs, manuals, and compliance in line with BCEA, LRA, EE Act, OHSA, POPIA, and other relevant legislation.
Work
closely with Finance
on payroll inputs, remuneration reviews, HR budgets, and reporting accuracy.
Manage all employment contracts and employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, performance, retrenchment, mediation).
Oversee full-cycle recruitment and structured onboarding programmes.
Lead probation, performance reviews, and KPI alignment across teams.
Develop and manage Personal Development Plans (PDPs), training, and career growth initiatives.
Drive culture and engagement initiatives that strengthen staff morale and retention.
Ensure compliance with EE and BBBEE requirements and reporting.
Partner with leadership to align HR strategy to organisational goals and scaling requirements.
Champion digital HR tools and process automation to improve HR service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in
Human Resources, Industrial/Organisational Psychology
, or related field.
5-7 years'
progressive HR experience, including more than 2 years at a managerial or business partner level.
Demonstrated experience
managing an HR Administrator or small HR team.
Strong knowledge of
South African labour legislation
(BCEA, LRA, EEA, POPIA, OHSA).
Experience working
closely with Finance
on payroll and HR budgeting.
Experience managing
multi-site operations
and supporting 100+ employees.
Proven expertise in HR compliance, employee relations, and organisational development.
Advantageous: Experience in healthcare, non-profit, or professional services sectors.
Skills and Competencies

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
