Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of HR Coordinator Projects to be placed in Ivan Plats Platreef Mine in Mokopane, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the HR Manager Operations. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Supervise the daily activities of the site HR teams
Effective operational HR coordination and execution in line with project requirements and HR standard operating procedures
Recruit project labour to approved labour plans, policies and procedures
Coordinate human resources, re-location of employees and actively deal with unavailable labour and time and attendance issues
Coordinate HR initiatives including transformation, performance management and climate surveys
Conduct HR audits, analyse data and provide accurate HR reports within time frame
Coordinate and act on employee and industrial relations issues, including CCMA cases and disciplinary hearings within company policies, procedures and legislation
Coordinate and participate in Union wage negotiations
Assist with retrenchment processes and community related requirements / issues
Proactive HR risk identification and mitigation
HR teams understand and comply with relevant legislation and M&RC's policies, procedures, standards and safety protocols
Effective team and self-management in alignment with M&RC's values and leadership initiatives.
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Human Resources related Degree or equivalent Diploma at NQF Level 7
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Exposure to an online recruitment system e.g. PNET
Valid EB driver's license
Covid-19 vaccination Certificate
Sound judgement, decision making, leadership and supervisory skills
Assertive with strong interpersonal skills
Planning, organising and administration skills
Ability to apply expertise, deliver results and meet customer expectations
Ability to cope with pressures and setbacks, work productively in a pressurised environment and keep emotions under control during difficult situations
Fully conversant in English, written and verbal, with ability to negotiate, present information, communicate and facilitate understanding at all levels
Medically fit for underground visits
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
At least 8 years of HR generalist experience in recruitment, manning, industrial and employee relations, disciplinary hearings and time & attendance, preferably in a contract mining environment
Experience supervising the activities of HR teams
Experience conducting recruitment via an online recruitment system and assisting with the interview process
Experience in labour relations and wage negotiations in a unionised environment
Experience representing the company at the CCMA and assisting with the management of union and community relationships and unrest issues
Experience implementing and upholding HR governance systems and processes
In-depth working knowledge of HR best practices and legislation in all areas
