Purpose of Role: Partner with Factory, Warehouse, Logistics and Country leaders to build a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workforce. Key Responsibilities:Shape a collaborative and compliant workplace. Lead the charge on employee and industrial relations - resolving grievances, guiding disciplinary processes, and fostering constructive union partnerships that build trust and drive performance. Build organisational capability that fuels growth. Champion succession planning, talent development, and strategic workforce initiatives that strengthen operational excellence and unlock business potential. Turn data into decisions. Deliver high-quality HR administration and reporting, using systems and analytics to surface insights that inform smarter, faster decision-making. Be the trusted voice of HR. Support operational leaders and frontline managers with clear, confident guidance - translating complex legislation into practical solutions and empowering teams to thrive. Embed a high performing HR function. Continuously improve HR delivery and employee touchpoints to enhance the employee experience and drive operational impact. Promote an exceptional place to work. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in human resources or an equivalent qualification, coupled with substantial generalist HR experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting Comprehensive understanding of South African labour legislation - including the Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, and Skills Development Act - and a proven track record of applying these effectively in operational environments Demonstrated expertise in managing union relationships and navigating complex employee relations within unionised workplaces. Proficiency in multiple African languages, enabling effective communication and stakeholder engagement across diverse regions. Experience supporting HR operations across African countries such as Ghana, Zambia, DRC, and Aldelia contracts with an understanding of regional labour dynamics and cross-border HR practices.
