Job Description


Mazars is offering an exciting position in our Gqeberha Audit Department for a Human Resources Assistant.

Your role will provide an opportunity to gain general human resource and administrative experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with all graduate recruitment initiatives and events
  • Make arrangements for and assist with the facilitation of employee inductions, vacation work programmes, and job shadow opportunities
  • Monitor performance and academic progression of trainees
  • Logistical and administrative arrangements for staff training
  • Liaise with the recruitment team regarding Gqeberha vacancies and offers
  • Liaise and work with the relevant service linexe2x80x99s HRBP and provide all necessary information
  • Assist with interviews, performance counselling and industrial relations processes
  • Monitor and manage leave, study assistance, salary deductions etc according to the firmxe2x80x99s policies
  • Assist with arrangements for wellness days, functions and other initiatives
  • Distribute all relevant office communication
  • Take minutes during relevant meetings
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records and filing
  • Foster strong professional relationships with internal and external clients
  • Process HR payments
  • Assist with compliance to professional body regulations and preparation of reports
  • Encourage active employee participation in HR initiatives and office events
  • Assist with general queries by staff and provide support where necessary
  • Other general HR support and ad hoc project assistance in the audit department
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 with a relevant HR / industrial psychology qualification
  • Good computer skills in MS Excel and Word
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Sound knowledge of HR functions / processes and labour legislation
