HR Administrator - Leading Hospitality Group - Durban
Our client, a well-established leading hospitality group in Durban, is seeking a detail-driven and organised HR Administrator to support their busy Human Resources department. This role is ideal for someone with strong HR admin experience, excellent knowledge of statutory processes, and a background in the hotel or hospitality industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining employee records, supporting payroll and benefits processes, and ensuring accurate HR compliance across the group.
The position offers a salary of R10 000 - R15 000 per month, depending on experience, and will commence on 5 January 2025.
Description
The HR Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative and HR support to the HR team, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and smooth day-to-day HR operations. The role includes employee record management, documentation processing, onboarding support, payroll assistance, and general administrative functions. Experience with PRP time and attendance systems is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Compliance

  • Manage and maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Ensure all statutory documentation is completed, filed, and maintained
  • Process and submit UI19s, termination forms, and compliance-related documents
  • Support HR audits and ensure documentation is always up to date
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Assist with posting vacancies, screening CVs, and coordinating interviews
  • Prepare onboarding packs and facilitate new-employee induction processes
  • Ensure all new starter documentation is fully completed and filed
Payroll & Benefits Support
  • Provide administrative support for monthly payroll cycles
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee-related queries
  • Ensure accurate collation of timesheets and attendance records
General HR Operations
  • Provide administrative support across the HR department
  • Prepare HR reports, letters, and documentation as required
  • Assist with employee relations admin and communication
  • Maintain accurate records across systems and filing structures
Salary & Employment Details
  • R10 000 - R15 000 per month, depending on experience
  • Permanent employment

Minimum Requirements
  • 2-4 years HR administration experience
  • Hospitality industry background strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • PRP time & attendance experience advantageous but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, including:
  • UI19 submissions
  • Statutory documentation
  • Payroll and benefits admin
  • Employee file management
  • Recruitment and onboarding
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Detail-oriented, professional, and discreet
  • Available to start 5 January 2025
  • Willing to work 2 Saturdays per month (half day)
