This role will report to the People & Organizational Director and will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Please note that this position is for a 2 years fixed-term contract.

The position

As an HR Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for providing HR Admin assistance and support to the HR Director and HR Team.

Your main accountabilities will be:

  • Support HR team with implementation of HR programs and projects to ensure an efficient and effective organization, liaise with payroll consultant and ensure accurate payroll input
  • Prepare files for new employees, staff announcements (New Hires, Promotions, Terminations & Job changes) and updating employee details in relevant systems
  • Upload invoices for payment and follow up, prepare Workman's Compensation submission
  • HR Administration, drafting appointment letters, visa letters and promotion letters, liaise with Benefit Administrators and Consultants i.e. Aon, Discovery, and Sanlam
  • Manage HR Audits, long service awards administration, maintain headcount database and employee list monthly, and assist in preparation of Employment Equity reports
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to have Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience within HR Administration, preferably gained in the Pharmaceutical / Healthcare industry.

To be effective in this role you need to have:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree within Business, Economics, HR or equivalent
  • Preferably experience from working in a shared service centre
  • Preferably experience from working with different EMEA countries having knowledge about regulations, practices, and cultures across EMEA
  • Good understanding of payroll process
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good working knowledge of HR systems
  • Pro-active problem-solver
  • Excellent Attention to Detail
On a personal level you should have strong analytical skills to drive process standardization, optimisation, and continuous improvements.
