Job Summary Small luxury Boutique Hotel is requiring a hands-on Executive Housekeeper Kindly note this position is live-out (No Accommodation) and the preferred candidate must have a valid SA Driver's License as per the client's requirements. Minimum Requirements: o Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position within a 5 star luxury property o Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal o Must be computer literate o Leadership experience o Strong training skills and experience o Effective rostering abilities o Knowledgeable with the controlling of expenses and inventories o Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES o Assist to Manage & Supervise housekeeping staff o Ensures inter-departmental co-operation, working collaboratively with other departmental heads to ensure maximum effectiveness and output for all departments occurs. o Makes daily checks on rooms and other facilities to ensure the standards have been met, and daily operational timings adhered to. o Keeps records and performs stocktaking exercises o Assists in receiving, storing and control of all Housekeeping supplies, equipment, linen and uniforms o Prepares housekeepers work duty lists and distributes master keys, ensuring that keys are returned at the end of every shift o Maintains an excellent and courteous relationship with guests o Performs additional management duties within the lodge environment. o Reports any maintenance defects to the Maintenance Department timeously o Performs whatever additional duties that Senior management deems fit o Be required to work overtime when requested by Senior Management CORE COMPETENCIES o Ability to work in a pressurized environment o Willingness to work flexible time o Excellent communication skills and attention to detail o Excellent co-ordination and organisational skills o Presentable, well-spoken individual o Be fully computer literate and able to create spreadsheets.
