Job Summary
Housekeeping/Cook candidates needed for the Franschhoek.
The ideal candidate should:
Work independently; Have good manners and work ethic; Be hardworking; Available to work from Monday to Sunday as well as public holidays and able work flexible hours ; Ability to work under pressure;
Requirements:
Have a minimum of Grade 12/Matric; Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel / guest house or similar hospitality environment Clear criminal record Experience a supervisory role - advantageous Must live in the surrounding areas or able to travel.
Personal Traits:
Good communication skills; Reliability is essential.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist with cooking basic breakfast items Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops; Dust and polish furniture and equipment; Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy; Sort, count, and mark clean linens; Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary; Cleaning rooms, sweeping and vacuuming, dusting etc. Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware; Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts; Run errands such as taking laundry to the cleaners and buying groceries.
