About the job Position: Housekeeper Location: Cape Town Previous experience in the housekeeping department in hospitality is a must. Responsibilities: Ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout all rooms and public areas. Cleaning designated facilities (sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming etc.) Replenishing guest amenities and public bathrooms Cleanliness of storage areas Working with linen i: e washing, ironing, and linen stock counts Mixing and disposing of cleaning solutions properly Ensure walkways and public areas remain clean Perform and document routine inspections on site Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects upon request Follow all health and safety regulations Experience and knowledge: 2 years hospitality experience essential Knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations Knowledge regarding the proper use of cleaning/chemical agents Skills and attributes: Enthusiastic and friendly Works well under pressure Accountable Hard working Takes initiative Team player Ability to work a schedule and follow instructions effectively No criminal record Solid and positive references Job Type: Full-time Salary: R9,000.00 - R11,000.00 per month
