Village N Life is a leading tourism and hospitality company based in the beautiful Camps Bay.

The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay seeks a dynamic, forward thinking Hotel Manager to lead our extraordinary team.

You will be responsible to take ownership of full Hotel Operations functions, finance and profitability of the hotel. The ideal candidate will be well travelled and very active. Provide a superior and memorable guest experience of the highest standards.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Matric
• Hotel Management qualification
• Excellent Opera experience
• 3-5 years experience in the same or similar position in the luxury hotel sector
• Familiar with the duties of Front Office and Reservations departments
• Strong financial acumen
• Food and Beverage experience advantageous
• Good judgement and decision making skills
• Attention to detail

Further responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain good guest relationships and respond to guest needs promptly
• Maintain efficient Check in and Check out procedures
• To ensure effective liaison between the Front Office and other departments
• Ensure that accounts are balanced daily
• Reporting faults to maintenance and follow up
• Monitor daily variance reports and action shortages
• Demonstrate a sincere attitude to getting things done
• Develops solutions that improve the organisational performance of the hotel
• Initiatives that increase revenue
• Travel Platform management
• Achieve targeted Food and Beverage costs and budgets
• Hold regular performance appraisals with staff, identifying areas for development
• Guest and review driven
• Understand and capitalise on key guest demographic
• Innovative
• Deadline driven
• Focus on keeping the hotel informed of current hospitality trends, but be a trend setter, not a trend follower.
