Job Summary National hotel group requires a Cape Town based Sales Executive where a key focus will be on the Leisure & Inbound Markets within the Western Cape. Main Objective: Responsible for driving revenue from domestic vacationers, international tour operators, travel agents, and individual travelers. This role is focused on proactive business development and maintaining relationships with key travel trade partners to increase market share and meet sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Business development and account management Develop and execute sales strategies to increase bookings from local leisure travelers and international inbound operators. Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, cold calling, networking, and sales blitzes. Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key travel trade partners, including tour operators and travel agents. Conduct presentations, site inspections, and property tours for prospective and existing clients. Prepare and negotiate customized proposals, contracts, and quotes for clients. Sales targets and reporting Deliver on sales targets and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive revenue growth for the hotel or group. Track and report on sales performance by account, segment, and region. Maintain accurate and updated records of all client information and sales activities in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Review market analysis to stay informed about client needs, occupancy potential, and competitor rates. Collaboration and marketing Collaborate with the hotel's revenue and marketing teams to develop impactful promotions and packages. Work closely with the reservations and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of services for leisure guests and groups. Assist the marketing team in creating and delivering promotional materials. Represent the hotel group professionally at trade shows, roadshows, and networking events. Skills & Traits Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated; target-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused approach. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the hospitality, travel, or tourism industry with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Experience working with hotel sales and CRM systems, such as Opera PMS required Own reliable vehicle essential Valid Driver's License Matric Grade 12 Business Management Qualification preferred
