Job Summary ??? is assisting an elegant Bistro and Deli, opening soon in a Lifestyle Estate on the West Coast to recruit a We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Hospitality General Manager to take full responsibility for all operational aspects of this exciting new opening. The successful candidate will bring structure, leadership, and attention to detail, ensuring that every guest experience reflects warmth, quality, and exceptional service. Working closely with the ownership and culinary teams, the General Manager will oversee the smooth running of the restaurant, deli, and retail operations while maintaining high standards of presentation, service delivery, and profitability. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic hospitality professional to help create a destination that celebrates refined dining, artisanal quality, and the warmth of genuine South African hospitality. Requirements o A minimum of five years of management experience within a premium hospitality, restaurant, or lifestyle establishment o Proven ability to oversee all areas of restaurant, deli, and retail operations while maintaining service excellence o Strong financial acumen with a thorough understanding of GP percentages, cost control, supplier management, budgeting, and labour planning o A confident and motivating leader who excels in recruiting, training, and developing high-performing teams o Deeply guest-focused with a natural ability to deliver authentic and personalised experience o Composed and solutions-oriented with sound decision-making skills under pressure o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities that foster collaboration between department. o High attention to detail and consistency in maintaining brand and service standard o A strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to long-term business growth and innovation o Previous experience in the opening of a new hospitality operation would be an advantage Salary - On application (DOE) PLEASE NOTE Although we appreciate all applications, only candidates who meet the required experience and background criteria will be contacted.
