MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide clinical leadership to the hospital's management and staff, and clinical guidance to doctors and allied healthcare service providers associated with the hospital. To monitor and manage standards of clinical practice, clinical performance and clinical quality improvement at the hospital in collaboration with all stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Strategic management of clinical services
Monitor and manage clinical performance
Manage clinical governance in the hospital
Manage the impact of clinical services on the patient experience
Manage and mitigate clinical risks
Financial management of the department
Lead and manage the people in the department
Manage key stakeholder relations

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: MBChB, MBBCH

DESIRED EDUCATION: MBA / Business Qualification, Post-graduate Diploma in a Medical Field or Medical Specialist Qualification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years post-community service clinical experience in a hospital environment

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Operational management experience
Clinical experience within a private hospital environment
